Watford Music Centre Completed
Locally known as the "Ice Cube", the newly completed Music Centre is set within the grounds of the listed, neo-Georgian Watford Grammar School for Boys. Designed to relate to its landscape setting, the building is clad in glass, which changes with the light.
The use of daylight is maximised
throughout, with a large skylight above the foyer stair, floor-to-ceiling windows and
a rooflit concert hall.
The Centre provides a 200-seat concert hall, recital room, recording studio and twenty five music teaching spaces.
